\n\tU.S. playwright-writer-director and performer Sophie Fleur de Bruijn, whose original romantic comedy spec script \u201cThe One Month Mark\u201d recently sold to Apple, with Jennifer Lawrence attached, has signed for representation with CAA.<\/p>\n

\n\tDe Bruijn has been making a splash in Hollywood with her spec scripts and directed the social horror-comedy \u201cPolycule,\u201d written by Cal Bolster and Amita Rao, in 2024. As a comedian she trained and performed at Chicago\u2019s iO and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOne Month Mark\u201d revolves around a woman who has never made it past a month in a relationship, and a man who has never gone longer than a month without one. It reportedly sparked a bidding war earlier this summer and was snapped up by Chernin Entertainment, which is producing for Apple. In addition to starring in the upcoming film, Lawrence and her producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi are also on board as producers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOne Month Mark\u201d marks Bruijn\u2019s second collaboration with Apple following \u201cEarly Action,\u201d her first feature spec script for which Apple Original Films scored the rights last year. That film, which is about two parents on a misguided mission to get their son into his dream college, is currently in development with Kevin Walsh and The Walsh Company set to produce under their first-look deal with Apple.<\/p>\n

\n\tBruijn\u2019s original play \u201cOne Dick For Life,\u201d which she describes as a horror comedy about a bachelorette trip gone wrong, was a Goodman New Stages semifinalist, a Geffen Writers Room semifinalist, and a Weissberger Award nominee. <\/p>\n

\n\tBruijn\u2019s continues to also be represented by Collin Litts at Anonymous Content and Tara Kole and Tiffany Graddick at Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole LLP.<\/p>\n
