\n\tThat figure is not broken down by title, but Take-Two notes the \u201clargest contributors\u201d to the overall number were \u201c\u2018NBA 2K,\u2019 the \u2018Grand Theft Auto\u2019 series, \u2018Toon Blast,\u2019 \u2018Match Factory!,\u2019 \u2018Empires & Puzzles,\u2019 the \u2018Red Dead Redemption\u2019 series, \u2018Words With Friends,\u2019 \u2018Color Block Jam,\u2019 \u2018WWE 2K,\u2019 \u2018Zynga Poker,\u2019 and \u2018Toy Blast.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPreorders for \u201cGTA 6\u201d opened June 25, one day after Take Two-Interactive\u2019s Rockstar Games\u00a0revealed pricing for the game\u00a0would be $79.99 for the standard edition, which can be purchased as a digital or physical (which includes a code in a box rather than a disc) copy. The \u201cultimate\u201d version will cost $99.99 and include \u201can exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects\u201d of the game.<\/p>\n

\n\tNet bookings were down 3% from $1.42 billion in the prior year\u2019s quarter.<\/p>\n

\n\tTake-Two took a $43.4 million impairment charge during the quarter attributed to the \u201cdecision not to proceed with further development of an unannounced title in its pipeline from a third-party developer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOverall loss for the quarter was $35.5 million. Gross profit reached $882.5 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tWall Street forecast a GAAP loss of earnings per share (EPS) of 21 cents on $1.36 billion in revenue, according to analyst consensus data provided by LSEG. Take-Two reported a GAAP loss per share of 18 cents on $1.39 billion in net bookings.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur excellent first quarter results reflect the power of our portfolio and disciplined execution across all of our labels,\u201d CEO Strauss Zelnick said in a letter to shareholders. \u201cWith these positive trends and excitement around the November 19th launch of \u2018Grand Theft Auto VI,\u2019 we are reiterating our Fiscal 2027 Net Bookings outlook of $8.0 to $8.2 billion. Looking further ahead, we expect to sustain this new level of scale and generate strong cash flows, setting us on a path to deliver continued growth and long-term shareholder returns.\u201d<\/p>\n
