\n\tLos Angeles, sweltering thanks to an unusual August humidity, got even hotter on Wednesday as Variety<\/em> toasted the best and brightest young talent in show business.<\/p>\n

\nVariety<\/em> Power of Young Hollywood, presented by Disney+, welcomed scores of actors, musicians, influencers, agents and execs to the Four Seasons Beverly Hills \u2013 including this year\u2019s franchise cover stars Tate McRae, Sombr, Tyriq Withers and Malachi Barton.<\/p>\n

\n\tHosted by the publication\u2019s co-presidents Dea Lawrence and Ramin Setoodeh (also Variety<\/em>\u2019s co-editor-in-chief), the summer bash was emceed by actor and presenter Mario Lopez and his 12-year-old son Dominic.<\/p>\n

\n\tMadison Beer, Kiernan Shipka, Fleetwood Mac legend Lindsey Buckingham, Ora Duplass, \u201cMonster: The Ed Gein Story\u201d and \u201cThe Beauty\u201d star Joey Polari, Dylan Efron and Will Ferrell\u2019s son Magnus all circulated over the expansive courtyard gathering. Popcorn chicken bites and truffle fries complimented a steady stream of signature tequila cocktails (for those 21 and older) as DJ Zuri Marley supplied the hits.<\/p>\n

\n\tNeutrogena erected a full beauty bar with custom drinks and a product vending machine, which attracted the social media set who stocked up on eye cream before packing the main stage for a stunning acoustic performance from Sienna Spiro courtesy of Amazon.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhile Variety<\/em> is 121 years old \u2014 we don\u2019t look it \u2014 you all represent\u00a0the future of the entertainment industry with your vision, storytelling and creativity,\u201d Setoodeh said in opening remarks.<\/p>\n

\n\tBarton, star of Disney\u2019s \u201cCamp Rock 3\u201d and \u201cCoven Academy,\u201d elicited screams from young fans and his castamtes in attendance. Withers rocked a black tank top and chatted closely with his friend and honor presenter Shipka, while McRae and Sombr held court in individual booths on the Four Seasons lawn peppered with activations from Eternal Water and CashApp. <\/p>\n

\n\tNadia Gray, star of David Ayer\u2019s \u201cBright\u201d and a key player on January\u2019s anticipated reboot of \u201cBaywatch,\u201d rubbed shoulders with Variety<\/em>\u2018s 2026 class of New Leaders \u2014 including WME partner Mike DeVeau and Brillstein\u2019s Matt Sadeghian. The two breakout talents from this year\u2019s box office monster \u201cObsession\u201d \u2014 star Inde Navarrette and director Curry Barker \u2014 circulated amongst \u201cI Love L.A.\u201d star True Whitaker, Charli D\u2019Amelio, Casey Trotter, Assistants vs. Agents founder Warner Bailey, casting director Ayo Davis and more. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs I\u2019ve gotten older, I\u2019ve realized that I\u2019m incapable of doing anything casually in my life\u2026. I guess I have a slight problem doing the most at all times. It\u2019s not like I was soaking in gold paint two days ago or anythig,\u201d McRae said in her speech, referencing her acclaimed Lolapalooza closing performance in Chicago last weekend. \u201cObsession has always been the thing that drives me. When I love something I really love it. I want to learn everything about it and become better at it.
