\n\t\u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d fans, rejoice! A collector\u2019s Blu-ray edition of the show\u2019s first season was announced Tuesday morning. The physical release won\u2019t ship out until April of 2027 but is already available to pre-order online. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe upcoming releases include Blu-ray, DVD and 4K editions, all advertised as special collector\u2019s editions although there are no details yet on what special features or packaging artwork the discs will include. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHeated Rivalry,\u201d which is produced by the Canadian streaming service Crave, streams on WBD-owned\u00a0HBO Max\u00a0in the U.S. and became a word-of-mouth sensation upon its debut last November. The series is based on the Rachel Reid book series \u201cGame Changers,\u201d following the star-crossed lovers Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storries), two of the biggest stars in Major League Hockey. What begins as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial and self-discovery.\n\n<\/p>

\n\tThe Blu-ray edition will likely arrive shortly after the show\u2019s second season, which is expected to release sometime in April, 2027. Series creator Jacob Tierney recently said that Season 2 is coming \u201cas soon as humanly possible,\u201d saying fans should \u201cenjoy the yearn\u201d until they can watch new episodes. Fans are also waiting for a new book in the \u201cGame Changers\u201d series. Titled \u201cUnrivaled,\u201d the upcoming seventh book in the series was delayed from from its planned Sept. 29 release date to June 1, 2027 as Reid deals with worsening symptoms of her Parkinson\u2019s disease as well as a busier schedule due to the exploding success of \u201cHeated Rivalry.\u201d\n\n<\/p>\n
