\nThe Beatles rights-holding company Apple Corps has come together with Universal Music Group to ink a wide-ranging licensing and merch deal for all things related to the fab four.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt will include physical and digital merchandise, licensing, and e-commerce. \u201cThe Beatles embody music\u2019s power to change the world, and that influence makes them one of the most iconic and enduring cultural brands of all time,\u201d said Lucian Grainge, chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group. We\u2019re grateful for Apple Corps\u2019 trust as we deepen our global partnership, while protecting and growing The Beatles\u2019 legacy through authentic fan experiences worthy of their artistry. As a lifelong Beatles fan, building on the relationships forged over the past 14 years is one of the great highlights of my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe worldwide exclusive pact comes ahead of the highly-anticipated quartet of Sam Mendes biopics about the group, in which Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson portrays John Lennon, Joseph Quinn stars George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan is Ringo Starr. Titled \u201cThe Beatles \u2013 A Four Film Cinematic Event,\u201d the four-movie project is currently in production and set to be released in 2028.<\/p>\n

\n\tApple Corps \u2013 unrelated to the Steve Jobs-founded tech company \u2013 was formed in 1968 to oversee The Beatles\u2019 creative and business interests. The entity has embarked on a vigorous program of experiences and other projects to introduce the legendary band to a new generation of fans. Chief among them is an upcoming immersive experience in London, due to launch in 2027, which will feature seven floors of archival material as well as a store selling merchandise and a recreation of the studio where \u201cLet it Be\u201d was recorded. The building, on 3 Savile Row, is where the group played an unforgettable rooftop concert and fans will have an opportunity to relive the experience on the spot it took place.<\/p>\n
