Thompson, directors of Sony Pictures\u2019 upcoming animated sequel \u201cSpider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.\u201d Anime influencers including Amber Glenn, Big Sean and Jordan Howlett will also take part.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTop anime studios will also be showcased, including leaders from Toho (Taichi Ueda, film producer and executive officer), MAPPA (Manabu Otsuka, president and CEO) and Sony Music\u2019s Aniplex (Atsuhiro Iwakami).<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=6500\">Venice Adds \u2018Naza,\u2019 Documentary From \u2018No Other Land\u2019 Directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, to Competition<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tSony Corp.\u2019s top leaders will be out in force to support the event. Crunchyroll has been under the Sony Pictures Entertainment umbrella since 2021, when the studio acquired Crunchyroll and merged it with Sony\u2019s existing Funimation unit. The subscription streaming platform has blossomed into Sony\u2019s biggest footprint in streaming and an engine of distinctive content for the company. Crunchyroll partnered with Sony Pictures for the theatrical rollout of 2025\u2019s \u201cDemon Slayer: Infinity Castle,\u201d which set U.S. box office records for an anime feature.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHiroki Totoki, president and CEO of Sony Group Corp., will be on hand at the forum to deliver remarks, as will Ravi Ahuja, chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
