Their relationship ended in October 2025 after McCollough experienced a drug-induced manic episode that summer, and in March of this year, McCollough traveled to Peru to take her own life. In a statement to Rolling Stone, Watts\u2019 attorney Andrew Brettler called the claims \u201cdangerously false\u201d and said it was a \u201cpreconceived narrative\u201d to suggest that he was responsible for her suicide.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWatts \u2014 known for starring in the TV version of \u201cComedy Bang Bang\u201d from 2012 to 2016 before becoming the bandleader for James Corden\u2019s \u201cLate Late Show\u201d \u2014 penned the theme song for the Scott Aukerman-hosted podcast, which began airing as a radio show in 2009. The song was played before last week\u2019s episode on Aug. 17, but is not present in Monday\u2019s installment featuring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein of \u201cPortlandia\u201d fame.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRepresentatives for Watts, \u201cComedy Bang Bang\u201d and Aukerman did not immediately respond to <em>Variety<\/em>\u2018s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=6502\">\u2018EastEnders\u2019 Puts Out Casting Call for Character Named Meghan After Duchess\u2019 U.K. Return: \u2018Confident, Gorgeous and Ready to Cause Chaos\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn addition to McCollough\u2019s story, the Rolling Stone report contains claims from five women who previously dated Watts and allege a pattern of \u201creckless and selfish\u201d behavior regarding drugs in their relationships. Two women alleged that their relationships with Watts were \u201cemotionally and psychologically abusive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMcCollough\u2019s family and friends told Rolling Stone that her drug consumption \u201cdrastically increased\u201d while dating Watts and became a \u201ccentral\u201d part of their relationship.
