\n\tGersh will rep U.S. sales with Los Angeles-based global sales agency Other Angle takes international.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur Loves,\u201d which is tipped to be Israel\u2019s Oscar entry for international film, is set to premiere at TIFF next month as part of the Centrepiece programme as well as the Israel Academy of Film and Television\u2019s Ophir Awards ceremony, where it has racked up 12 nominations including for best picture. The winner of best picture at Ophir automatically becomes Israel\u2019s official Oscars entry for international feature film.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature film follows five men and women who are each in an unusual or fractured relationship in the months leading up to Oct. 7 (where Hamas terrorists murdered over 1,000 people and took another 240 hostage), with their lives intertwining unknowingly.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn that rupture, each must confront unresolved wounds, seek redemption and find the possibility of a new beginning,\u201d reads the synopsis.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt stars Shalom Michaelshvili, Magi Azarzar, Yaniv Biton, Noa Cohen, Daniel Gimpel, Hadas Yaron, Evelin Hagoel, Lena Fraifeld, Sean Mongoza, Kim Or Azulay, Leib Lev Levin, Nomi Aharoni-Gal (Nunu), Lior Miller, Elad Turgeman, Amir Banai, Nevo Katan and Itamar Pinto.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, which is Nesher\u2019s 21st feature, also opens the Haifa International Film Festival next month, courtesy of United King Films, where Nesher will also be honored with a lifetime achievement award. The director, whose oeuvre includes \u201cRage and Glory,\u201d \u201cTurn Left at the End of the World\u201d and \u201cThe Secrets,\u201d is widely regarded as one of Israel\u2019s most groundbreaking filmmakers. \u201cAvi is one of the most consistent, beloved and acclaimed filmmakers in the history of Israeli cinema,\u201d said the festival\u2019s artistic director, Yaron Shamir. \u201cMany of his films have become classics.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOliver Albou, co-founder of Other Angle with Laurence Schonberg, says \u201cOur Loves\u201d is \u201cnot what you expect.\u201d \u201cOct. 7 is the setting but it\u2019s not the story,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe story is about ordinary people and how they confront an extraordinary and incredibly violent situation. I have been selling films for over 25 years. Whether they are comedies, dramas or biopics, what they all have in common is their genuine sincerity. This film is no exception. It moved me to tears because of that sincerity. That\u2019s why we are fully on board and ready to champion it, present it to our buyers and bring it to audiences worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur Loves\u201d is produced by United King Films, Shari Redstone\u2019s Sipur Studios, Fox Entertainment Studios, Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen\u2019s Access Entertainment, Moriah Media and Artomas Communications.<\/p>\n
