The north star. Bold and brilliant. Talented and tenacious. You taught so many lessons on how to be uniquely oneself. I am grateful for your art, your heart, your generosity, your humor, your entrepreneurship. I\u2019m honored that I had the privilege to work with you. I will treasure that forever. Thank you for your profound impact on the world. You are an angel who has made this world a happier place because of your joyful art. You are truly one of one. Rest peacefully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBeyonc\u00e9 had worked with Parton and recorded a reworked cover of \u201cJolene\u201d for her 2024 album \u201cCowboy Carter,\u201d altering the original\u2019s lyrics and song structure. Where Parton begged and pleaded a woman not to steal her man on the original \u201cJolene,\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 transformed the tune into a warning shot: \u201cI can easily understand why you\u2019re attracted to my man \/ But you don\u2019t want this smoke, so shoot your shot for someone else,\u201d she sang.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tParton had hinted weeks before \u201cCowboy Carter\u201d that Beyonc\u00e9 had recorded her own version of \u201cJolene,\u201d and following the album\u2019s release, Parton took to social media to give the cover a stamp of approval. \u201cWow, I just heard Jolene,\u201d she wrote on social media. \u201cBeyonc\u00e9 is giving that girl some trouble and she deserves it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=6603\">Sam Register to Depart as Head of Warner Bros. She introduced the song \u201cTyrant\u201d and had her own \u201cDolly P\u201d interlude just before \u201cJolene.\u201d \u201cHey miss Honey B, it\u2019s Dolly P. You know that hussy with the good hair you sing about?\u201d she said on \u201cDolly P,\u201d referencing Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s 2016 song \u201cSorry\u201d and the line \u201cBecky with the good hair.\u201d \u201cReminding me of someone I knew back when, except she has flaming locks of auburn hair, bless her heart. Just a hair of a different color but it hurts just the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tShe had previously supported Beyonc\u00e9 recording a country album on social media, shortly after the pop star became the first Black woman to top Billboard\u2019s Hot Country Songs chart when \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u201d debuted at No. 1. \u201cI\u2019m a big fan of Beyonc\u00e9 and very excited that she\u2019s done a country album,\u201d she wrote. \u201cSo congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.
