The clashes reflect the real-world protests between Iranian authorities and civilians, which left at least 7,000 people dead and more than 50,000 people arrested, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tDirector Ash Koosha, who is from Tehran, said in a statement that work on the film began shortly after he read reports on the massacre. He wanted to create a human-focused film, he said, but without access to a crew, actors or Iran itself, he opted for AI. The feature-length film cost about $2,000 to make, according to Foundation 0.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe project took three months \u2014\u00a0built entirely using tools such as Kling AI for video generation, Anthropic\u2019s Claude AI for language-related editing, Google\u2019s Gemini and Nanobanana for research and imagery and Foundation 0\u2019s own technology for blocking and frame accuracy, according to the company \u2014 all from Koosha\u2019s home in London. The film exists because the dead deserve to be witnessed and because the families inside Iran, who cannot speak, deserve someone outside who refuses to forget.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFountain 0 is a production studio that \u201cblends traditional creative principles with frontier technologies to produce previously impossible movies and TV shows,\u201d\u00a0according to its website. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tFilm festivals, and Hollywood broadly, have allowed AI-generated films to screen on the periphery of their programming. AI startup Higgsfield AI\u00a0debuted 95-minute action-adventure film \u201cHell Grind\u201d\u00a0at the Cannes Film Festival last week \u2014\u00a0but through the March\u00e9 du Film, the festival\u2019s marketplace for films, rather than as part of the festival\u2019s screening lineup. Cannes organizers banned AI-generated films from the festival\u2019s official competition.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe 2026 Tribeca Festival runs June 3-14 in New York.
