\nTribeca X, the Tribeca Festival\u2019s flagship program dedicated to brand-supported storytelling, has announced that A$AP Rocky will be honored with the inaugural Tribeca X Filmmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes the rapper for his work in music, fashion, film, design, and brand storytelling.<\/p>\n

Tribeca X will take place June 8\u20139 at Spring Studios during the 25th annual Tribeca Festival. This year\u2019s programming aims to showcase how brands and entertainment leaders are building new models for storytelling. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTribeca X was built to celebrate the creators reshaping modern storytelling,\u201d said Rebecca Glashow, CEO of Tribeca Enterprises. \u201cToday\u2019s cultural landscape is being defined by artists and entrepreneurs who push creative boundaries across mediums and industries. A$AP Rocky represents the kind of genre-defying visionary the inaugural Tribeca X Filmmaker of the Year Award was created to honor.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cToday, brands and creators are not only shaping culture \u2014 they are producing, financing, and distributing premium entertainment. \n\tHighlights from the 2026 lineup include Cedric the Entertainer speaking about building businesses, from executive producing \u201cKings of BBQ\u201d to launching Setta Wines; Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and chef Claire Saffitz discussing Beckham\u2019s international culinary brand Cloud23; David and Finn Droga exploring the evolution of creativity, from advertising narratives to independent filmmaking; and Paige DeSorbo discussing creating Daphne, her fashion-forward loungewear brand.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Dhar Mann, founder of Dhar Mann Studios, will speak with Wall Street Journal reporter Katie Deighton about how the creator-led production companies is redefining entertainment; Michelle Khare will speak with Christopher Rosen about how she transformed her YouTube channel into an in-house production company; \u201cChewed Up\u201d hosts Michael Symon and Clinton Kelly will discuss creative ownership with Business Insider Lucia Moses; Stagwell executive David Sable will sit down with Antonio and Irene Lucio to explore how storytelling evolves; Elizabeth Rutledge, CMO of American Express, will be in conversation with Ad Age Editor-in-Chief Jeanine Poggi; and Emmy-award winning TV host Zuri Hall will moderate a talk with \u201cNBA on Prime Video\u201d host Taylor Rooks, and Aurora James, founder of Brother Vellies and the Fifteen Percent Pledge.<\/p>\n

Tribeca X also announced the official selections for its Tribeca X Awards, recognizing work across seven categories: Feature Film, Short Film, Episodic Series, Commercial Spot, Content Creator\/Influencer Collaboration, Audio\/Podcast and Games & Immersive.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Tribeca X Awards Jury includes Daniel Cherry III (Global CMO, Vans), Juliana Cobb (Chief Creative Officer, 72andSunny New York), and Lena Waithe (Emmy-Winning Writer, Producer, and Founder of Hillman Grad). The audio jurors include Giancarlo Bizzarro (Vice President of Sales, Crooked Media), Carrie Brody (VP, Business Development at Higher Ground), and Stuart Sevier (President & Co-Founder at The Independent Media Initiative).<\/p>\n
