\nSteven Spielberg\u2018s \u201cDisclosure Day\u201d has been unveiled to members of the film press ahead of its June 12 release date, and first reactions are calling the sci-fi UFO-focused movie \u201cSpielberg\u2019s best film in 20 years,\u201d with high praise for star Emily Blunt. <\/p>\n

\n\tGizmodo senior entertainment reporter Germain Lussier took to X to share his reaction, writing, \u201cI loved \u2018Disclosure Day.\u2019 A dense roller coaster ride blending chase film, love story, & mystery, all wrapped in sci-fi wonder. It\u2019s Spielberg\u2019s best film in 20 years, filled w\/ all the magic that makes his films so special, plus an all-time character\/performance by Emily Blunt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCollider\u2019s Editor-in-Chief, Steven Weintraub, agreed with Lussier\u2019s sentiments, saying, \u201cIn a shock to absolutely no one, Steven Spielberg has delivered another towering home run with \u2018Disclosure Day.\u2019 I could go on and on about what I loved, but I was lucky enough to see the movie knowing almost nothing, and I strongly recommend you do the same. \n\tBlunt plays a Kansas City TV meteorologist who is suddenly overcome by a mysterious extraterrestrial force while taping a weather segment live on air, and is joined by Josh O\u2019Connor who stars as an alien life believer, determined to reveal the truth about life outside of Earth to the rest of the world. Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell and Henry Lloyd-Hughes round out the cast. <\/p>\n

\n\tSpielberg developed the story with screenwriter David Koepp, who he previously collaborated with on the films \u201cJurassic Park,\u201d \u201cJurassic Park: The Lost World,\u201d \u201cWar of the Worlds\u201d and \u201cIndiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDisclosure Day\u201d marks the 37th film that Spielberg has directed.
