Wong\u2019s \u2018Afterpiece\u2019 to Open Shanghai Film Festival<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cHouse of the Dragon\u201d stars Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Harry Collett (Jacaerys Velaryon), Bethany Antonia (Baela Targaryen) and Phoebe Campbell (Rhaena Targaryen) are set to attend the show\u2019s spectacular Italian launch in Taormina\u2019s large open-air ancient Greek amphitheater in the shadow of Sicily\u2019s active Mt. The eight-episode season will air new episodes weekly until the season finale on Aug. 9. It will premiere on HBO Max in Italy on June 22.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBased on the George R.R. Martin book \u201cFire &amp; Blood,\u201d the series is set roughly 200 years prior to the events of \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d and tells the story of the Targaryen civil war that is known in Westeros as the Dance of Dragons.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAs previously announced, Jane Campion is presiding over the Taormina fest jury and Helen Mirren will receive a lifetime achievement award.
