\nDisney+ has greenlit a new docuseries starring Marvel besties Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman and their work as the co-owners of the Bonds Flying Roos, an Australian sailing team, through the SailGP Championship. The official description for the currently untitled series reads, \u201cAustralia\u2019s fastest sailors travel the globe to face elite rivals while onboarding world-famous owners\u00a0Hugh\u00a0Jackman\u00a0and Ryan Reynolds into SailGP, led on the water by driver and CEO Tom Slingsby: an Olympic gold medallist, America\u2019s Cup winner, three-time SailGP champion and one of the most decorated sailors in history.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is our first collaboration since \u2018Deadpool & Wolverine\u2019 and we once again anticipate action, comedy, heart but with a lot more water,\u201d Reynolds and Jackman said in a statement. \u201cAnd (fingers crossed) pirates. We hope there\u2019s pirates in SailGP.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rolex SailGP Championship features national teams on identical high-tech, high-speed 50-foot foiling catamarans sailing all over the world at speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour and competing for a prize of $12.8 million dollars. <\/p>\n

\n\tReynolds and Jackman\u2019s series adds to a growing slate of docuseries at Disney following celebrities and the sports teams they own. The trend began with \u201cWelcome to Wrexham\u201d on FX, which follows Reynolds and Rob Mac\u2019s ownership of the Welsh soccer team Wrexham AFC. Also on FX is \u201cNexaca,\u201d following Eva Longoria\u2019s ownership of the Mexican soccer team of the same name, featuring Reynolds and Mac as additional investors and executive producers. Mac will also executive produce the sailing series through his More Better Productions banner.<\/p>\n
